Could a simple blood flow trick speed up ACL recovery?

NCT ID NCT06762392

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair surgery. About 40 adults aged 18–45 who had ACL reconstruction will be assigned to either standard rehab or standard rehab plus BFR. Researchers will measure pain, muscle strength, and joint movement to see if BFR leads to faster or better recovery.
