New 3D method may improve tumor measurement accuracy

NCT ID NCT07319767

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at better ways to measure how tumors respond to treatment before surgery. Researchers compared a new 3D method (TDTP-RECIST) with the standard approach (RECIST 1.1) in 120 adults with breast, pancreatic, or biliary cancers. By reviewing past scans and tumor tissue, they aim to find which method best predicts treatment success. There were no treatments or visits for participants, so risks were minimal.
