New surgical glow technique aims for more precise cancer mapping

NCT ID NCT05191212

Summary

This study compared two ways to find the first lymph nodes that cancer might spread to during surgery for early-stage endometrial cancer. Researchers tested a new method where surgeons keep injecting a safe green dye until they can see the tiny drainage channels in real-time. They wanted to see if this new approach was better at finding these key lymph nodes on both sides of the body than the standard injection method.
