New surgical glow technique aims for more precise cancer staging

NCT ID NCT05191212

Summary

This study compared two ways to find 'sentinel' lymph nodes during robotic surgery for early-stage endometrial cancer. Surgeons tested a new method where they kept injecting a fluorescent dye until they could see the lymph channels light up in real-time. The goal was to see if this new approach was better at finding lymph nodes on both sides of the body than the standard injection method.
