Smart device could help save more lives during cardiac arrest

NCT ID NCT07088120

Summary

This study is testing whether using a real-time feedback device to help doctors give more precise breaths during CPR can improve survival for adults who have a cardiac arrest in the hospital. About 850 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either standard CPR or CPR where a device guides the timing and size of each breath. The main goal is to see if this new approach helps more patients' hearts start beating on their own again.
