NCT ID NCT04021485
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study checks on 5-year-old children who were born very early (before 32 weeks) and whose mothers received either a full or half dose of a steroid called betamethasone before birth. The goal is to see if the lower dose is just as safe for the children's brain development and thinking skills. Researchers will test the children's IQ and other abilities to compare the two groups.
