Summary
This study tests whether betaine hydrochloride, a supplement that increases stomach acid, can lower high levels of the hormone gastrin in people with autoimmune gastritis. High gastrin is linked to an increased risk of stomach tumors. The trial will enroll 60 adults and measure changes in gastrin levels after one and three months of treatment.
