First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a fast-acting beta-blocker (landiolol) early during a heart attack can reduce the amount of heart muscle that dies. About 100 adults with a severe type of heart attack (STEMI) will receive either this drug or standard oral beta-blockers. Researchers will measure heart damage using MRI scans and heart function tests months later.
