Scientists test 'Legal Boost' for Fighters' power and stamina
NCT ID NCT07319052
Summary
This study tested whether taking a beta-alanine supplement for four weeks could improve performance for trained male kickboxers. Researchers wanted to see if the supplement helped fighters maintain speed and power during repeated high-intensity striking combinations and improve upper-body strength endurance. Twenty-eight athletes were randomly assigned to take either the supplement or a placebo while maintaining their normal training.
