NCT ID NCT07474532

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving older hospital patients an educational leaflet about benzodiazepines (medicines for sleep or anxiety) changes their attitudes toward reducing or stopping these drugs. About 96 geriatric patients who already take benzodiazepines long-term will answer questionnaires before and after receiving the brochure. The goal is to understand if simple information can help overcome fears and barriers to deprescribing.
