First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tests a new drug called bempikibart (ADX-914) for people with severe alopecia areata, a condition that causes large patches of hair loss on the scalp. The trial has two parts: first, a placebo-controlled phase to see if the drug works, and second, an open-label phase where everyone gets the drug. About 75 adults aged 18 to 75 with at least 50% scalp hair loss are taking part. The goal is to measure hair regrowth over 24 to 36 weeks.
