Summary

This study tests a drug called bempikibart (ADX-914) in 75 adults with severe alopecia areata, a condition causing significant scalp hair loss. In the first part, some participants received the drug and some a placebo to see if it helps hair regrow. The second part gives the drug to all participants to check safety and effectiveness over a longer period.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with severe alopecia areata, potentially regrowing significant scalp hair.
