New drug cocktail aims to extend lives in tough kidney cancer

Summary
This study tests whether adding a new targeted drug (zanzalintinib) to standard belzutifan therapy helps people with advanced kidney cancer live longer and keep their cancer from growing. About 758 adults whose cancer worsened after at least one prior treatment will receive either the combo or belzutifan alone. The goal is to see if the combination improves survival and delays cancer progression.
