Beetroot juice may boost heart recovery after exercise in diabetes

NCT ID NCT07560800

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single dose of beetroot juice can improve how the heart and blood vessels respond to and recover from exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes. About 20 people aged 40–65 will drink either beetroot juice or a placebo before light cycling. Researchers will measure blood pressure and heart rate changes during recovery to see if beetroot juice helps the cardiovascular system bounce back faster.
