Beetroot juice may boost heart recovery after exercise in diabetes
NCT ID NCT07560800
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a single dose of beetroot juice can improve how the heart and blood vessels respond and recover after light cycling exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes. About 20 people aged 40 to 65 will take part, each trying beetroot juice and a placebo on separate visits. The goal is to see if this simple drink can help lower blood pressure and improve heart rate control during recovery.
