This study looked at whether beetroot extract, a natural source of nitrates, can improve athletic performance in rugby players. Ten trained rugby athletes took the supplement and then completed tests measuring speed, acceleration, strength, and fatigue. The goal was to see if beetroot could give these athletes an edge in their sport.
