Summary
This study tested a new method called pulsed field ablation against the standard radiofrequency ablation for people with a type of irregular heartbeat called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The goal was to see if the new method is faster, safer, and works better at stopping the irregular heartbeat for at least a year. The study involved 292 adults who had not gotten better with medication.
