Summary
This study looks at whether adding beans to your daily diet can improve bowel and metabolic health. Overweight adults aged 30-80 who are scheduled for a colonoscopy will drink a bean smoothie for two weeks. Researchers will measure changes in gut bacteria, blood markers, and colon tissue to understand how beans might help prevent colon cancer.
