First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study in Guinea-Bissau tests whether making the BCG vaccine available every day (instead of only certain days) can reduce early infant deaths. About 22,800 newborns will be followed for 42 days after birth. The goal is to see if earlier vaccination lowers deaths from causes other than accidents.
