Could a simple amino acid boost improve liver cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07412054

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) to a standard two-drug therapy (lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab) helps adults with advanced liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. About 234 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the standard therapy with or without BCAAs. The goal is to see if the addition of BCAAs can delay cancer growth and improve tumor shrinkage.
