First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how brown fat—a special type of body fat that burns energy—changes when young adults with obesity follow a calorie-restricted diet. About 30 participants will either maintain their weight or lose 8-10% over 12-16 weeks. Researchers will use advanced scans and lab tests to understand brown fat's role in weight control.
