First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at how brown fat—a type of body fat that burns energy—adapts when people with obesity lose weight through a calorie-restricted diet. Thirty young adults will either maintain their weight or lose 8-10% over 12-16 weeks. Researchers will use scans and tissue samples to understand brown fat's role in weight control.
