New hope: hormone shots may stall prostate cancer spread

Summary
This study tests a treatment called bipolar androgen therapy (BAT) in men with a type of prostate cancer that has stopped responding to standard hormone therapy but hasn't spread yet. The goal is to see if BAT can delay the cancer from spreading to other parts of the body. About 69 men in Australia will receive testosterone injections along with their current medication.
