First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special type of group discussion, called a Balint group, could help nurses feel less burned out and improve their communication skills. Thirty nurses took part, with half attending six weekly online sessions and the other half continuing their usual work. The results showed that the group sessions helped reduce burnout and improve communication, with benefits lasting at least three months.
