Summary

This completed study looked at how the brain and behavior normally develop in 471 healthy children aged 6 months to 5 years living in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Researchers used a portable MRI scanner and age-appropriate tests to measure brain volume, early learning skills, and social behavior. They also surveyed mothers about mental health, home environment, and family stress to understand what influences child development.
