First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding Baduanjin, a gentle mind-body exercise, to standard physical therapy helps older adults with Parkinson's disease. 27 people living in a nursing home took part, with one group doing Baduanjin plus standard therapy and the other doing only standard therapy for 12 weeks. Researchers measured balance, walking, and motor symptoms to see if the exercise group improved more.
