First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This pilot study tested a very small, specially shaped wire (lead) for cardiac resynchronization therapy, a treatment that helps the heart beat in sync. Researchers wanted to see if this tiny wire could successfully pace the left ventricle in 39 adults getting a new pacemaker or defibrillator. The study measured how often the wire worked well and checked for any safety issues during the implant procedure.
