First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a new imaging technique called AWSM-PET/CT, which aims to improve the detection of small cancerous spots that standard PET/CT scans might miss. Eleven adults with known or suspected cancer received both a standard scan and the enhanced AWSM scan. The goal was to see if the new method helps doctors more accurately identify malignant lesions.
