This completed study examined air quality inside airplane cabins during smoke or fume events and whether these events affect the health of flight crew members. Researchers tested 357 crew members with cognitive tests, physical exams, and questionnaires. The goal was to detect any neurological symptoms linked to exposure to engine oil fumes.
