New hope for dangerous blood sugar drops after gastric bypass

Summary
This study tests a drug called avexitide in 75 adults who have severe low blood sugar episodes after gastric bypass surgery. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce these dangerous events compared to a placebo. Participants will be monitored for 16 weeks, with an option to continue in an open-label extension for about 32 more weeks.
