Summary

This study tested whether a drug called avatrombopag is safe and effective at raising platelet counts in Japanese adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the immune system attacks platelets. Nineteen participants took the drug for 26 weeks. The main goal was to see how many weeks their platelet counts stayed at a safer level without needing other rescue treatments.
