Friendly avatar aims to ease anxiety in cancer transplant patients

Summary

This study tests whether a digital avatar can help reduce anxiety and improve quality of life for adults with cancer who are receiving a stem cell transplant as an outpatient. About 90 participants will be randomly assigned to either the avatar program or usual care. The goal is to make outpatient transplant more comfortable and accessible.
