Summary
This study tests whether adding avacopan to standard treatment helps people with severe ANCA vasculitis—a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the kidneys. About 130 adults with rapidly worsening kidney function will receive either avacopan or a placebo alongside usual drugs and steroids. The goal is to see if the combination improves kidney recovery and reduces the need for high-dose steroids.
