NCT ID NCT07158905
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new vaccine called AV-1980R in 48 adults aged 65-80 who have early signs of Alzheimer's in their blood but no memory problems yet. The vaccine targets a protein called tau, which is linked to Alzheimer's damage. The main goal is to check if the vaccine is safe and triggers an immune response, with a secondary look at whether it might slow disease-related changes.
