First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new vaccine called AV-1980R in 48 older adults (ages 65-80) who have early signs of Alzheimer's but no memory problems. The vaccine aims to train the immune system to target a harmful protein in the brain. The main goal is to check if the vaccine is safe and well-tolerated, while also looking at whether it can slow disease-related changes.
