NCT ID NCT02138942

Summary

This study tested a new automated device designed to help manage intravenous (IV) fluids given to patients during major abdominal surgery. The goal was to see if the machine could effectively maintain a patient's blood volume, a task normally done manually by the anesthesiologist. The study involved 30 patients and was designed to check if the system was safe and feasible for use under direct doctor supervision.
