Robot pancreas tested for High-Risk diabetes patients

NCT ID NCT07422532

Summary

This study is testing if an automated insulin delivery system can help people with type 2 diabetes who also have advanced kidney failure and are on dialysis. The system uses a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump to automatically adjust insulin doses, aiming to keep blood sugar in a safe range. Researchers will compare this automated system to the participants' usual insulin injections to see if it improves blood sugar control, safety, and quality of life over 12 weeks.
