Robot freezes eggs: could automation revolutionize IVF?
NCT ID NCT07197983
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new automated machine can freeze human eggs and embryos as well as trained lab staff do by hand. About 125 people having IVF will donate extra eggs or embryos that would otherwise be thrown away. The machine's freezing success will be compared to the standard manual method, with no impact on participants' own fertility treatment.
