NCT ID NCT07215481

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests a new automated method (Illumina 3D) for programming deep brain stimulation (DBS) devices in people with Parkinson's disease. Fifteen participants who recently received a DBS implant will try the automated settings and perform motor tasks like walking and finger tapping. The goal is to see if the automated programming improves movement better than standard care. This is a short, one- or two-day experiment, not a long-term treatment study.
