First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested two new tools (BOSCC and ELSA-T) for measuring changes in social communication and language in toddlers with autism. 84 minimally verbal children aged 18 months to 5 years took part in a 20-week play-based intervention called JASPER, led by a clinician or caregiver. The goal was to see if these tools can reliably track progress, not to cure or treat the condition.
