First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to an audio book before total knee replacement surgery can help reduce patients' anxiety, blood pressure, and pulse rate. About 93 adults aged 40 to 80 who are scheduled for planned knee surgery will take part. Researchers will measure anxiety levels, blood pressure, and pulse before and after the audio book session to see if it helps patients feel calmer.
