NCT ID NCT07445360

First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding an extra ablation step to the standard procedure helps people with persistent atrial fibrillation stay in normal heart rhythm longer. About 320 adults aged 18 to 75 with persistent AFib will be randomly assigned to receive either standard ablation or standard ablation plus Bachmann bundle modification. The main goal is to see which group has a higher rate of normal sinus rhythm one year after the procedure.
