Heart mapping vs x-rays: which better fixes irregular heartbeat?
NCT ID NCT07035288
Summary
This study tested two different imaging methods used during a heart procedure for atrial fibrillation (AF). Forty patients with AF received a catheter ablation to electrically isolate problematic heart veins. Researchers compared using detailed 3D heart mapping versus traditional X-ray imaging to guide the procedure, checking which method created more durable seals two months later.
