Vitamin a compound may reboot cancer drug in tough myeloma cases

NCT ID NCT06536413

First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a vitamin A derivative (ATRA) to standard carfilzomib therapy can make the cancer respond again in people with multiple myeloma whose disease has stopped responding to carfilzomib. About 42 adults who have tried at least three prior treatments will receive the combination. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if it can shrink tumors or slow the cancer.
