New combo shows promise for Tough-to-Treat lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04147351

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of four drugs (atezolizumab, bevacizumab, platinum chemotherapy, and pemetrexed) in 22 adults with advanced EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer that had stopped responding to standard targeted therapy. The goal was to see how many patients' tumors shrank or disappeared. The approach aims to control the disease rather than cure it, as ongoing management is still needed.
