New mapping technique may reduce repeat heart procedures
NCT ID NCT05239364
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a more targeted ablation approach, guided by advanced heart mapping, can reduce the return of atrial tachycardia in people who have already had treatment for atrial fibrillation or heart surgery. About 100 adults with stable, map-able atrial tachycardia will be randomly assigned to either standard ablation or a minimalized approach targeting only the clinical arrhythmia. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer arrhythmia recurrences over time.
