Summary
This study looked at what causes sudden, severe asthma attacks in adults aged 18 to 75. Researchers measured the thickness and stickiness of mucus from patients having an asthma attack to better understand the disease and how inhaled steroids work. The goal was to find new ways to treat asthma, but the study was stopped early and did not test any new treatments.
