New program helps urban kids and parents team up to fight asthma
NCT ID NCT05832437
Summary
This study tested a program called BREATHE-Peds that helps kids with asthma and their parents work together with doctors to make treatment decisions. Researchers wanted to see if this teamwork approach could help children better manage their asthma symptoms. The program was tested with 67 families in urban health centers where kids had uncontrolled asthma. Families in the program were compared to families receiving standard care to see if the shared decision-making approach improved asthma control.
