This study tested whether assistive listening devices (like small microphones and receivers) help Chinese children with dyslexia improve their reading and listening skills in the classroom. 71 children aged 7 to 11 with dyslexia used either real or placebo devices for 10 months. The goal was to see if the devices could boost literacy, speech understanding, and brain responses to sound.
