Aspirin shield: new hope for moms after IVF
NCT ID NCT05625724
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a low-dose aspirin (150 mg) daily, starting early in pregnancy (weeks 9-14), can prevent preterm preeclampsia in first-time mothers who became pregnant through assisted reproductive technology (ART) like IVF. Preeclampsia is a serious condition involving high blood pressure that can harm both mother and baby. The trial will compare aspirin to a placebo in about 1,164 women to see if it reduces the risk of preterm preeclampsia and other pregnancy complications.
